History was made in LSA today.

Finally version 1.4.0 of CVS was ready and we had a successful voting session at school today. All the teachers were very happy with it and all of them alongwith lots of students congratulated us and displayed their appreciation on our effort.

The voting went very smooth and fast and no confusion or stampede took place as it had always done. It took around 3~4 hours with the students coming class by class and lining up according to their houses and then casting their votes on the respective computers (1 per house). Archit and I were running around since 8 am setting things up, getting them ready and hoping that nothing goes wrong, and I thank God that it went fine.

There was media coverage too, as this was apparently the first time in India that a school’s council election process was carried out electronically and that a couple of students made such a software for the school. We were interviewed by reporters from NIE, The Hindustan Times and a couple other newspapers. Some random voters were also questioned as to how they liked the new system and they sounded pretty happy and satisfied with CVS, and all of this made us beam with pride and happiness.

When we were informed that our software would be used for the following years as well and also for the Junior Council elections, it made us immensely proud and the hint that we would be given a “Certificate of Appreciation” and our work be announced on the Founder’s Day in the presence of the parents were the icing on the cake. It was really amazing to give back something to the institution which has shaped our lives for the past 10 years and make history for the school.

We thank Ma’am J. Mishra and Sir N. Motilal for all their support and encouragement throughout which really made the difference…

I hope that we can continue updating the software and keep adding new features and making it even better.

My heart along with my computer almost crashed today :S

Computer started up finally though.. Im saved =))

Anyway,,, My music collection is slowly growing =)) weeee Im lovin’ the music..

Trying to strafe out of gaming now, iv decided to play no games after I finish Crysis. Or at least not on a daily basis…

Although I picked up around 65gigs of video =0 so… studies…. are gonna start from 1st Jan after all… I see that once a decision, stays that way…

Photon mock test comin up on 30th dec… gotta study a bit for it… must.. study…!!!

LaterS then.. im still brooding about the fact that I have to attend sports day tomorrow just for a round of marching and the teacher’s happiness, gah!

edit: oh, and iv taken my game development quite a bit ahead =)) I think an alpha version is almost up..! I think ill upload it here
